Intermittent fasting / time restricted eating can be really beneficial. It can help with longevity, improve metabolic health, enhance cellular repair, reduce inflammation, and support mitochondria. There’s lots of benefits, but it’s not a one size fits all process. It’s not something that everybody should be doing.

Essential learnings from this episode…

  • Intermittent fasting and time-restricted eating can contribute to longevity by improving metabolic health, promoting cellular repair, reducing inflammation, supporting mitochondrial health, and influencing hormone regulation.

  • Intermittent fasting is not suitable for everyone, especially those with health concerns like diabetes, imbalanced blood sugar, eating disorders, high nutrient needs, demanding schedules, or specific age-related issues.

  • Biomarkers and genetic testing can predict longevity and help tailor personalised health plans accordingly.

  • Lifestyle factors such as sleep hygiene, stress management, exercise consistency, and dietary modifications play a crucial role in extending healthspan and overall longevity.
