Episode 25: Understanding and Navigating Long Covid with Karen Preece Smith

According to the Office for National Statistics, as of 5 March 2023, an estimated 1.9 million people living in private households in the UK were experiencing self-reported long COVID (symptoms continuing for more than four weeks after the first confirmed or suspected coronavirus (COVID-19) infection that were not explained by something else). However, this is something that isn’t being discussed as much as it should be.

In this episode, Nicole invites functional medicine practitioner Karen Preece Smith onto the show to discuss long COVID, the symptoms people can experience, how it can trigger autoimmune conditions, and Karen also shares practical steps you can take to manage long COVID.
