Episode 23: The Thyroid Trust: Empowering Thyroid Patients with Louise Sellar

The Thyroid Trust was set up by a group of thyroid patients who have been meeting regularly and arranging talks with expert speakers since 2010. In 2019, they became a registered charity, focusing on providing peer-to-peer support, advocacy and up-to-date, informed knowledge about thyroid autoimmune disorders.

In this episode, Nicole invites Louise Sellar, Director of Communications and Development for the Thyroid Trust, onto the show to discuss her own personal experience with Graves disease and how she found her way to the charity. Louise emphasises her passion for raising awareness about thyroid conditions, supporting other patients, and helping educate them and their families.
